Description
Our Woodstock Turquoise Bells recalls the style of the American Southwest, a region that boasts colorful deserts, mesas, mountains and canyons. Its bright and airy tones create an intimate sound environment while its bold design recalls the vast, rugged landscape. Turquoise is indigenous to this area, and in many Native American languages, the translation for the word turquoise is "sky-stone." It gets its blue-green color from copper and aluminum deposits that are formed as water trickles through mineral-rich rock - a process that, like the formation of the Grand Canyon, has taken many millions of years.
The beads on this bell are made of reconstituted turquoise, which is real turquoise combined with resins and other materials to create the beautiful, bright-colored stones you see here.
