Description
The China, designed by Maria Egger and Heath Paley, is a handcrafted wind chime made up of a PVC frame and 20 pieces of glass. The technique used to frost and then polish the frame and the glass is a proprietary 48 hour process developed by Goose Rocks Designs and gives the acrylic and glass a unique luster that complements the chime's clean contemporary design. The China may be hung outdoors as the glass is durable under normal weather conditions. However if extreme weather with high winds is expected, the chime should be moved to a protected area. The line used to string the Dryden is made from woven polyethylene and is designed to withstand years of UV exposure. The China is shipped in a corrugated box packed in water-soluble biodegradable material made from vegetable starch. A brass cup hook is provided as an aid in hanging the chime. Glass pieces for the China are available from Goose Rocks Designs should a replacement be required.
They are durably constructed, individually hand-crafted and hand-tuned in the state of Maine.
